One workshop, two scales
Most fabricators are set up for one or the other — either they're a small shop turning out single bespoke runs, or they're a high-volume line that won't quote anything under a couple of hundred units. We work to both ends of that. A homeowner needing a single staircase balustrade gets the same drawings, the same coded welds and the same finish options as a contractor ordering for a new-build site.
Bespoke designs are no problem — we work from your drawings, a sketch on paper or a reference image. For volume runs, we'll prototype a unit, sign it off with you, then produce the full quantity to that exact spec.

Typical jobs
Domestic staircase balustrades and landing rails. External balcony railings for first-floor and roof terraces. Juliet balconies. Industrial mezzanine kick rails and edge protection. Multi-plot housing developments where hundreds of identical balustrades go out across the site. Commercial fit-outs with bespoke architectural balustrades — perforated panel, slot-cut sheet, vertical bar or wire infill.
Exterior railings — built for British weather
Outdoor steel takes more punishment than anything inside the property line. We fabricate exterior railings and balustrades for the full range of domestic, commercial and contractor jobs — and we specify the finish so they don't come back to bite you in two winters' time.
Common exterior work coming through the shop:
- Balcony & Juliet balconies
- Roof terrace edge rails
- Driveway & front-boundary railings
- Garden & rear-boundary fencing
- Pool & decking surrounds
- External staircase & fire-escape rails
- Accessibility ramps with handrails
- Commercial perimeter & car-park rails
- Apartment block & new-build balconies
For exterior, we'll normally recommend hot-dip galvanised steel finished with a polyester powder coat in your chosen RAL. That combination is the industry's longest-lasting external finish — the galv protects the steel from underneath even if the coat takes a knock, and the powder coat keeps it looking like the day it went up. Pure stainless is also an option for coastal or premium domestic jobs where you don't want any maintenance.
Finish choice, properly explained
Wet spray gives you any RAL colour and the smoothest finish — best for interior or sheltered exterior work where appearance is the priority. Galvanising is a dipped coating that fundamentally protects the steel from rust, ideal for exterior and exposed jobs. Powder coat is the hard-wearing volume option — applied over a primer or over galvanising for the longest-lasting external finish. We'll talk through which makes sense for your job.
Lead time
Single bespoke runs typically two to four weeks from drawing sign-off. Volume orders depend on quantity and finish, but we'll quote a programme up front and hold to it. Quotes back inside 24 hours.
